Yesterday me and my friend went to the movies and of course to see this movie that had shaked the movie world. I had my suspicions about it even though I hadn't done any research about actors before. Only thing I knew about the movie was DiCaprio. Images of sinking ship rushed to my head and with a shrug I barged in to the theather.
First scene of the movie didn't make me amaze the movie that much. It was just same "This will be explained later" scenes that I have seen many times before. Then scene ended and we entered something like a flashback.
Movie sucked me into it's plot after first few scenes. At first I found dream world idea pretty lame but more I watched, more I started to love it. DiCaprio is one hell of an actor as Cobb and so was Gordon-Levitt as strong, Watson-like character of Arthur. Add "Juno" (Ellen Page) and I was already interested in the rest of the movie.
Special effects were of course amazing. They weren't mindblowing to me (which they might be on IMAX or something like that) but effeccts make little part if the plot is great.
I liked the idea of "Inception" but I couldn't help but feel sorry for Robert Fischer (played by surprisingly good Sillian Murphy) for all the things they did in his head.
Shortly said about actors; Everyone of them were wonderful! Ken Watanabe and Tom Hardy were both funny as hell and I laughed most of the time for jokes they made.
As far as the Cobb's inner demons interfering with the Inception, I wasn't that interested in. Whole "Limbo" sounded really dreadfull and scary but untill the last scene between Cobb and Mal, I didn't feel Cobb's pain. Of course this was part of the plan of not knowing about the Inception Cobb had done before.
And this is one of the few movies where I really was so into the movie. When van was falling towards the water I couldn't even blink!
And don't even talk to me about ending scene! I have never been as angry and as happy about the ending. I hated it but it was the best thing they could've done, if you catch what I mean.
In the end I liked this movie hell of a lot. It deserves every star it gets. Actors are wonderful, effects are wonderful and so is plot. It's not a movie like the Elephant Man or Shawshank Redemption which I can watch multiple times but still wonderful experience.
I give this movie 5 stars.
"Okay, this is me, planting an idea in your mind. I say: don't think about elephants. What are you thinking about?"
"Elephants?"
"Right, but it's not your idea. The dreamer can always remember the genesis of the idea. True inspiration is impossible to fake"

And by GOD how much I hate the word "review". I always find new ways of typoing that one word :D Sorry about that!
